BOOTCAMP

Introduction

Jacquelyn Fedor

The battle lines have been drawn in the spirit realm and Satan uses and will continue to use every trick, deception and lie he can muster for this hour. We are to put on the whole armor of God to stand against the wiles or strategies of the devil according to Ephesians 6:11.
Ephesians 6:11
11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
We are to be good soldiers, Sion Warriors that are trained both physically and spiritually - thus - Boot Camp! Welcome to God's Army.
Are you ready?
Unfortunately there are many of God's people that will not allow the Lord to put them through basic training, and so will never develop the stamina to advance into intensive training, and never end up really great warriors. Many fail because they do not understand why they are going through what they are going through. You see, God uses natural circumstances in our military training to prepare us to take an active part in subduing the earth, and making the kingdoms of this world submit to God's principles and laws. We are a part of God's redemption plan for all creation, and have an individual role in his plan to take over man's systems. If we truly understand this, we will remain steadfast and strong through our boot camp experience and go on to become one God says: "well done good and faithful servant" to. He will gladly train you if you let Him.
Philippians 1:6
6 Being confident of this very thing, that he who has begun a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Jesus Christ.

TO FUTURE LEADERS

You must learn to follow before you can ever become a good leader, and you will never be chosen by God to lead without having first humbly and obediently been led. An experienced warrior will tell you, "all soldiers must go through, and pass, basic training before they can be promoted in rank," let alone be allowed to enter into battle against Satan and his demons.
Acts 19:15
15 And the evil spirit answered, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?
Then there is the separation we all must understand and submit to. Just as when you enter a base for training in man's army and have to separate from your family and the world, so it is required of God's soldiers also. There are rules for civilians, and military laws for soldiers. They are different and separate.
2 Timothy 2:4
4 No soldier on active service entangles himself with the affairs of civilian life that he may please him who has chosen him to be a soldier.
As individuals we will not even face the same training situations as others in our boot camp experience, but we can count on the result to produce in each of us the qualities required to graduate into advanced training and eventual useful service. His purpose is not to discourage us through these situations, or to batter and buffet us, but to properly prepare us for the task ahead. Those that experience tough things can overcome what others see as impossible. For instance, when no-one but God can help you in your circumstance, you learn to depend on God not man, and believe in His ability to save you through your situation and unbelievable odds. There is no easy way to victory. Boot camp is that spiritual arena where the Lord deals radically with us so He can produce tough, steady and bold Sion warriors for His Body. Through us, the united Body of Christ, He appears as Lord Sabaoth to the world.

THREE STEPS

There are three basic steps leading from Adam (civilian) to becoming a Sion Warrior (Israel).

STEP ONE

Induction Ceremony. In man's army a person submits their will and life to the army by swearing an oath. Our salvation or Passover is the spiritual counterpart to this induction ceremony. We submit our will and lives to the commander in chief, The Lord Jesus, when we declare Him as our Lord, separate from Adam's world, and are birthed into God's Kingdom. We are set aside for service. We are a new boot.

STEP TWO

Following the induction ceremony, army trainees are prepared for training by stripping away the things they hold dear in their civilian life. First their civilian clothes are peeled, hair is cut, identity is stripped to be humbled and made obedient to those of higher rank. Robes of pride and self-righteousness will be stripped from us. We are made new creatures when we are born again and taken through Isaiah 61 and made ready for...

STEP THREE

The Lord will sort out anything in His recruit that could hinder them from becoming great Sion Warriors. He not only sees our potential, but our weaknesses as well. We can fool man, but not God. He will pull up all weed seeds of self-destruction so when we face the challenges and pressures of spiritual warfare we will not fall or fail because of some hidden sin in our life.
Boot Camp is not easy as the Lord deals with the secret, sensitive things known only to us. We don't like to be exposed or have our own sin revealed. Weed seeds like lust, unforgiveness, rejection, hate, fear and strife must be eradicated. The Lord would rather remove a bad seed sown on the surface of our heart than let it take root and become so embedded in our personality that it is almost impossible to remove. However, God will never step over your will. You must surrender your heart to Him to inspect, if you self-righteously think you're OK, and refuse to submit, we become the biggest easy to see target of the enemy. The greatest spirit loosed on us to cause failure is pride and rejection. We are too prideful to admit we may not be right about something, or that we have weakness like addiction for instance, and we stop the Lord from intervening in our lives. Now we feel rejected by Him. Satan sees and Satan moves in like a serpent to destroy. This warrior will be defeated before he ever really goes to battle. We may lie to ourselves and say we are strong enough to conquer our own problems, but as Apostle Paul warned the Corinthians, "let him that thinks he stands, take heed lest he fall." I Corinthians 10:12.
Here is another fact: No matter how far you progress in God's Army, the Holy Spirit offers continuous refresher courses. No-one is exempt! All of us must be finely tuned. Again, no warrior has the ability to train themself and no Christian becomes great in God's Army without the help of others. It takes the knowledge and wisdom of Christ through His fivefold ministers, ones who have actually faced combat, to impart the spirit and experience needed to mature and be victorious.
Ephesians 4:11
11 And he gave some as apostles; and some as prophets; and some as evangelists; and some as pastors and teachers;
12 For the equipping of the saints for the work of the ministry, for the building up of the body of Christ:
13 Until we all attain the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to mature manhood, to the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:
This is God's government, Sion, with its rules and laws as set forth by the Father to provide a place of accountability and a means of spiritual direction for His soldiers.

IRON SHARPENS IRON

The Lord will use all relationships to mature the trainee. Sometimes their fellow soldiers become valuable teachers. For example, patience is perfected by marriage to a fellow trainee. Joy that is given by the Lord is increased as you learn to tolerate persecution from those that are against you and of course as you mature, you will grow to see your worst enemies are probably your very best friends. They are just being used by the Lord to mold and shape you to His image. The Lord will always strategically place people in your life that will help force you to die to yourself and produce in you a willingness to work closely with a team. God doesn't like one man shows. No lone rangers in God's Army. It must be a united effort for His Body to come together in the full stature necessary for victory. There can be no victory without unity.
Christ is the greatest drill instructor and it is Christ in us the hope of glory. Learn to see and appreciate the Jesus in others and you will grow quickly. If you look at His interaction with His disciples you will see He loved them, but He rebuked them.
Mark 9:19
19 He answered him, and said, O faithless generation, how long shall I be with you? How long shall I endure you? Bring him to me.
Matthew 14:25-31
25 And in the fourth watch of the night Jesus went to them, walking on the sea.
26 And when the disciples saw him walking on the sea, they were troubled, saying, It is a ghost; and they cried out in fear.
27 But immediately Jesus spoke to them, saying, Take heart; it is I; do not be afraid.
28 And Peter answered him and said, Lord, if it is you, bid me come to you on the water.
29 And he said, Come. And Peter got down out of the boat, and walked on the water to Jesus.
30 But when he saw the wind, he was afraid; and beginning to sink, he cried out, saying, Lord, save me.
31 And immediately Jesus stretched forth his hand, and caught him, and said to him, O you of little faith, why did you doubt?
Tough love was displayed by Jesus then and now, but remember Colossians 1:27.
Colossians 1:27
27 To whom God has chosen to make known among the Gentiles the riches of the glory of this mystery; which is Christ in you, the hope of glory.
There is hope if the trainee will listen to the voice of God through the fivefold government and react willingly and obediently to the laws of the Kingdom written by the finger of God on their hearts.
We are going to end this introductory chapter by reminding you of the opening paragraph on page one. The battle lines are drawn and heaven and hell meet face to face daily through the human race. Whose side are you on? Refusal to submit to God's boot camp conditions will automatically enroll you in Satan's!
Isaiah 1:19-20
19 If you are willing and obedient, you shall eat the good of the land
20 but if you refuse and rebel, you shall be devoured with the sword for the mouth of the LORD has spoken.
It is up to us. I address those of you that have not experienced Boot Camp. This is your opportunity to be trained to become a Sion Warrior. To enter God's military base simply drop your robes of shame and leave all your worldly baggage outside. Enter Sion's gates and be formally introduced to His leadership that will help train you. Raise your hand if you wish to enlist in God's Army or even if you would like a tune-up, a refresher course.
